May support the body in detoxifying the sinuses and reinstating proper brain glymphatic detox.
Sinus Detox
Mycotoxins and inflammatory compounds present in the sinuses are often fat-soluble, meaning they cannot be effectively removed with a simple saline rinse. A fat-soluble binding agent may be required to help support their removal. Cyclodextrins are one option that may be considered for this purpose.
Sinus Biofilms
When biofilms become established within the sinuses, infections can become significantly more resistant to treatment. Addressing and breaking down these biofilms is often considered an important first step in restoring sinus health. While some ENT specialists recommend baby shampoo as a biofilm-disrupting agent, alternative approaches may offer more targeted support.
Brain Drainage
The cribriform plate, located at the top of the nasal cavity, is a thin, porous structure through which a significant portion of the brain’s waste products are believed to drain. If the sinuses become congested or compromised, this drainage process may be impaired, potentially affecting the body's natural detoxification mechanisms.
Cilia Function
Chronic inflammation and persistent biofilms can impair the function of cilia, the tiny hair-like structures responsible for moving mucus and debris out of the sinuses. Restoring healthy cilia function is essential for maintaining proper sinus drainage and supporting the sinuses' natural self-cleaning processes.
